Death toll in Kazakh mine blast rises to 32
ASTANA, Sep 20 (Reuters) The death toll from an explosion today in a mine owned by Mittal Steel in Kazakhstan rose to 32, the Central Asian state's president's office said.
''The head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev has expressed his condolences to the families of the 32 miners who died as a result of an accident in the Mittal Steel Temirtau mine,'' the presidential Website said.
The company earlier said 18 people died and 25 were missing after a methane gas blast.
