Capexil records nearly 30 per cent growth in export
Kolkata, Sept 20 (UNI) CAPEXIL, formerly known as Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council, records nearly 30 per cent growth in export to more than 8535 million dollars during last year in tune with the growing demand for Indian products abroad.
Announcing this, CAPEXIL, a major export promotion council under the Union Ministry of Commerce, Chairman Samir Kumar Ghosh said here today that during the first four months of the current fiscal they had recorded 8.25 per cent hike in export performances from the corresponding period of last year to over 3776 million dollars.
He said in order to expand the export market of chemical and other products CAPEXIL had decided to take a number of steps including participation in a number of international trade fairs in China, Germany, UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and several other countries.
Referring to CAPEXIL's 48th AnnualGeneral meeting tommorrw to be addressed by Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee, Mr Ghosh said this year the best performance award would go to MMT, while the highest performance award in non-mineral sector had been bagged by the Chennai-based tyre major MRF.
