BJP leader joins SP
Lucknow, Sep 20 (UNI) A senior BJP leader today joined the ruling Samajwadi Party.
Rajiv Kumar Singh, a former Congress MLA, who later switched loyalties to BJP, joined the SP in presence of PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav and transport minister Naresh Aggarwal.
Singh first became an Independent MLA in 1985 and later got elected on a Congress ticket in 1989.
He joined the BJP when the Ram temple movement was at its peak.
He said the decision of giving him a ticket by the SP leadership in the coming assembly elections have not been taken yet. ''You never know what might happen tomorrow,'' he said.
He is the 10th BJP leader to join the SP in recent past. BJP leaders, including two MLAs, have joined SP in the past two months.
