BHEL bags Rs 1,224 cr order from UPRVUNL

Tirurchirapalli, Sep 20 (UNI) Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) today said it bagged a prestigious Rs 1,224 crore order from Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) for setting up two 500 MW units in the state.

According to a company release here, the UPRVUNL had placed the order for its Harduaganj Thermal Power Station expansion. The units are scheduled for commissioning in fiscal 2009-10.

BHEL's scope of work under the contract includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the main plant package along with the associated auxilliaries and civil works for the main package.
