12-hour Capital Complex bandh on September 28
Itanagar, Sep 20 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh Colleges Forum (APCF) today called a 12-hour Capital bandh on September 28, in protest against alleged illegal appointments in the Social Welfare and Child Development department (SW&CD).
The bandh has been called as its first phase of agitation after expiry of the deadline given to the state government to cancel all 21 appointments of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).
Addressing newsmen here, APCF President Patey Tayum said that the Forum had served a 15-days ultimatum to the concerned minister as well as the department on September 4 for immediate cancellation of the appointments made but no action was taken by the authority, which forced the organisation to resort to such agitation.
