Writ petition of V P Singh's son disposed off

Allahabad, Sep 19: Allahabad High Court today disposed off the petition filed by former prime minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh's son Ajeya directing him to delete all averments in his writ in the form of allegations against Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.

A division bench comprising Justices B S Chauhan and Pankaj Mithal directed that Mr Yadav's name be immediately deleted from the array of party, and reliefs sought against him should also be deleted.

However, the court allowed the petitioner to move an application for seeking security for his property Atlantis Multiplex Pvt Ltd, Civil Lines, Allahabad before the District Magistrate.

In case such an application is moved, the advocate general assured that the Allahabad DM shall consider and grant security for the property in accordance with law.

The petition sought issuance of writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to damage or take coercive measures without permission of the HC against the petitioners in the name of his property, and further directing the said respondents to provide adequate security against the illegal acts of the respondents.

The preliminary objection was taken by advocate general S M A Kazmi that there was no specific averments against Mr Yadav nor any cause of action had been properly disclosed and the petitioner had filed the petition on the basis of sheer political motive.

Taking serious note, the court directed that the name of Mr Yadav as well as the Allahabad district Samajwadi Party president be deleted from the array of party.

Further, the advocate general assured the court that since the state government was committed to providing protection to everyone, if the petitioner moved any application within five days, the same shall be considered by the Allahabad DM and he shall provide security for the petitioner's property in accordance with law.
