2 security personnel injured in Srinagar blast
Srinagar, Sept 19: At least five people, including two security personnel, were injured in a grenade blast at general bus stand this afternoon.
Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces near a crowded bus stand at Batmaloo, half a km away from the civil secretariat this afternoon.
It exploded on the roadside injuring to five people, including two security men. The injured were hospitalised, they said.
This was the first grenade blast in the city after police claimed to have busted a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) module on saturday when they arrested four militants, responsible for causing car bomb blasts in Srinagar.
