Two more suspected LeT militants held
Ahmedabad, Sep 19 (UNI) Two more suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists were today arrested by Gujarat Crime Branch police, a day after two of their accomplices were nabbed from Kalupur area here.
Those nabbed today are Qadir Mufiddul Islam and Shiraz Ansari, said Manoj Sashidhar, DCP, Crime Branch, Ahmedabad.
While Mufiddul was arrested from Tarkeswar madrassa in Surat, Shiraz was nabbed from Marwadi ni Chal of Madhopura area of the city.
Police said they got details about these terrorists during the interrogation of the two LeT men arrested yesterday.
Those arrested yesterday were Iliyas Memon from Shah Alam area in the old city, and Khalid, said to be from Jammu and Kashmir.
Surat (Rural) Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar Jha said that some ''jehadi'' CDs were recovered from Tarakeswar madrassa.
With these arrests, Gujarat Crime Branch police have claimed to have unearthed a conspiracy of the outfit to spread its tentacles across various states.
Several jehadi documents and CDs on Gujarat riots have been seized from them, police said in a statement.
They also said there could be a possible link between Mumbai blasts, arms recovery in Aurangabad, Ahmedabad station blast and the arrests in Delhi.
