Temp rise in Jaipur, rains splash Udaipur dist

Jaipur, Sep 19 (UNI) With the sun blazing fiercely in Jaipur temperatures have shot up making the residents perspire even in September.

However, rain lashed the Udaipur division before finally receding from the state. Over the last 24 hours, Banswara witnessed 59.6 mm, Som Pickupware experienced 50 mm, Kherwada 44 mm, Dhariawad 22.6 mm, Danpur in Banswara district 22.6 mm, Ghatol 36, Mahi 29, Aaspura in Dungarpur district received 19 mm, Ganeshpura 41, Arnod in Chittorgarh district received 48 mm.

Residents here are reeling under the sweltering heat and are praying for some respite before the onset of the coming festive season. The maximum temperature was recorded as 37.3 today.

The weather office has predicted some rains accompanied with thunder in south and south-eastern Rajasthan over the next 24 hours.
