Sensex range bound, trades 26 pts up at 12,097 in noon trade

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) The BSE Sensex is today trading range bound with a marginal benefit of 26 points at 12,097 points in the early noon trade, as reasonable buying and selling activity continues in the select stocks.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) has touched a low of 12,049 points and a high of 12,130.85 points till now, it is expected to remain range bound for rest of the day, given investors confusion on what may follow tomorrow in Federal Reserves meeting regarding the interest rate hike.

Major gainers on the index in the noon trade are Satyam Computers, Reliance Communications, Dr Reddy's Lab, TCS, Hindalco, Ranbaxy, Wipro, ONGC, Tata Steel, and NTPC all up from 0.66 to 2.19 per cent.

Besides, the losers are - HDFC, Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Cipla, Reliance Energy, HDFC Bank, Maruti Udyog, SBI, Bajaj Auto and Bharti Airtel - all down from 0.14 to 1.20 per cent.
