Second day's play washed out

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) The second day's play between host Hyderabad and Chemplast in the final of the All India Moin-Ud-Dowla Gold Cup Cricket tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here was washed out today due to intermittent rain for the past two days.

The efforts of Hyderabad Cricket Association officials with the help of groundsman to dry the ground went in vain as umpires after final inspection of the pitch and outfield at 1100 hrs, found it unfit and called off play for the day.

With only one day's play remaining, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary Shivlal Yadav told UNI that ''if the conditions permit on the last day tomorrow, we will organise one day match or we will declare both the teams as joint winners.'' UNI XR/SM ROY PM DB1148
