Remove DGP, demands SP

Bhopal, Sep 19 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party (SP) today demanded Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Swaraj Puri be relieved from his post and a criminal case be registered against him for allegedly getting his son admitted into an engineering college under NRI quota by presenting fake documents.

Accusing the state government of shielding the DGP, SP legislator Narayan Tripathi told reporters that if the state police chief takes advantage and provides wrong information, what could be expected from other officials.

Mr Tripathi said the SP will launch a statewide agitation in support of its demand.
