'Periphery becoming point of concern for Jharkhand'
New Delhi, Sep 19: The BJP today expressed its concern at the future of Jharkhand and the longevity of the administration with an Independent as the Chief Minister of the state.
Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who is considered to be a ''vocal critic'' of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda within the party, said the plight of the people of Jharkhand was certainly a big question because 'periphery' itself had become the focal point supported by political parties unlike in the past.
He said the previous NDA coalition, no matter what its follies were, was led by the biggest group in the Assembly -- the BJP and the JD (U) although with the support of four Independents, who were the periphery and the administration of a fairly stable government.
''In this set-up it is this force which has become the centre and people cannot expect much from this government,'' he remarked.
