Pakistani among 3 LeT militants killed in Doda
Jammu, Sep 19 (UNI) A top Pakistani Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was today gunned down along with his two local accomplices in Gandho (Ballesa) -- Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's native place -- of Doda district, police said.
''Acting on a tip off, a police party launched the operation against the dreaded Pakistani militant commander of LeT, Omar Pathan, at village Tanta Draman under police station Gandho and shot him dead,'' Senior Suprintendent of Police, Doda, Manohar Singh told UNI.
Two other local LeT militants, identified as Mohd Sadiq (code: Abu Haider) and Mohd Imran (code: Abu Sufian), were also killed in the operation, he said.
Police have recovered two AK-47 rifles, four magazines, 40 rounds and some incriminating material from the site, the SSP added.
