One more witness of minister murder case arrested

Patna, Sep 19 (UNI) One more eye witness in the murder case of former Bihar minister Brij Bihari Prasad was arrested by Patna police.

The CBI had produced Sashi Bhushan Singh, a contractor, as its 42nd witness in the case on September 15. His cross examination continues.

Patna police informed the court yesterday, that the witness was arrested in connection with a case of attempt to murder and the arms Act registered in Patahi police station of East Champaran district.

Earlier a witness Mahanth Ashwani Kumar Das was arrested by Patna police when he came for his deposition in the case as an eyewitness.

The said witness was convicted in a murder case. and is presently absconding.

The former minister for Science and Technology Brij Bihari Prasad was shot dead in the premises of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical sciences of Patna on June 13, 1998.
