More than 2000 AIADMK, MDMK, DMDK volunteers join DMK

Chennai, Sep 19 (UNI) More than 2,000 volunteers of AIADMK, Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK) and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), led by former MP and AIADMK Pudukottai District Secretary Raja Paramasivam today quit their parties and joined the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

A party release said here, the volunteers joined the DMK after calling on party President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at Anna Arivalayam here this evening.

Union Ministers S S Palanimanickam, S Ragupathy, DMK Deputy General Secretary Sargunapandian, Organising secretary T K S Elangovan were among others who were present on the occasion, the release added.
