Jail inmate commits suicide

Santiniketan, Sep 19 (UNI) An inmate of Bolpur Sub-Divisional jail today allegedly committed suicide inside his cell.

Bolpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Debasish Dhar said the reason behind Dhananjay Ghosh's death will be known only after receiving the postmortem report.

He said the person was arrested on August 10 in connection with a murder case, adding that the inmate was suffering from depression.
