Irregularities in Kangra Bank being investigated: CM

Shimla, Sep 19 (UNI) Assuring that the guilty in the Kangra Central Co-operative Bank recruitment scam will not be spared, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhahra Singh today said investigations are on to arrive at the truth.

''Ignoring the reservation roster, the previous BJP government had appointed far more people than advertised during recruitment for the bank,'' he said, at the third annual meeting of Other Backward Classes Welfare Board, here.

Mr Singh said he has directed the authorities to speed up the investigations to bring forth the truth and inform people how the previous BJP government had recruited its favourites flouting all norms.

Efforts would also be made to fill the backlog of OBCs in all future recruitments in the state government departments, he added.
