Homeopathy can cure Chikungunya, doctors claim

Kozhikode, Sep 19 (UNI) Homeopathy can prevent and cure Chikungunya, doctors at a government hospital here claimed.

Homeo medicines such as Uppttorium, Rextokes and Brayonia were effective for prevention and cure of the disease, Government Homeopathic Medical College Principal Abdul Rehman said in a release here yesterday.

He said this opinion was derived at a day-long seminar attended by many expert faculty members and students of the Hospital here.

The Andhra Pradesh Government had already distributed these medicines among about two lakh patients in the state, he said adding majority of patients in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka were also under homeo treatment for the disease.

He said the hospital was perpared to offer treatment to the affected patients in Kerala, from where many Chikungunya cases were reported recently.
