Gujarat police arrest two more suspected LeT militants

Ahmedabad, Sep 19 (UNI) A day after two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were nabbed from Kalupur area here, Gujarat Crime Branch today arrested another two of their accomplices.

Those nabbed today are Mufiddul Islam and Shiraz Ansari, said Manoj Sashidhar, DCP, Crime Branch, Ahmedabad.

He said police got inputs about these militants after interrogating the two LeT men arrested yesterday.

With these arrests, Gujarat Crime Branch police have claimed to have unearthed a conspiracy of the outfit to spread its tentacles across various states.

Several jehadi documents and CDs on Gujarat riots have been seized from them, police said in a statement.

They also said there could be a possible link between Mumbai blasts, arms recovery in Aurangabad, Ahmedabad station blast and the arrests in Delhi.

Those arrested yesterday were Iliyas Memon, from Shah Alam area in the old city, and Khalid said to be from Jammu and Kashmir.
