Dr M Visvesvaraya industrial awards on Sep 21

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur will present All India Manufacturers Organisation (AIMO) annual Bharat Ratna Dr M Visvesvaraya Industrial awards for various industralists at a function here on September 21.

Addressing a press conference today, Chairman of the AIMO state board Y S R Venkat Rao and Awards committee Chairman G Jayaram said the Organisation, started by Bharat Ratna Dr M Visvesvaraya, had been giving yearly awards to outstanding entrepreneurs in various industrial fields in recognition of their achievements.

This year, National Mineral Development Corporation bagged the award for the best performer in Large and Medium Scale Sector while Metrochem API was the best performer in Small Scale Industry sector and ICON Accessories for best export performance, they added.

Director Hyderabad Chemicals N Sukumar bagged the 'Member of the year' award and Managing Director of Mtar Technologies P Ravindra Reddy secured the 'Outstanding Industrial Achievement' award.

They said the awardees were selected by an independent panel of jury based on financial performance, employment generation, export performance, R and D efforts and other criteria.
