DoP to launch address verification service on Sep 20

Chennai, Sep 19 (UNI) The Department of Posts (DoP) has announced a new service of address verification through its postal delivery staff.

The service, to be launched tomorrow, will be initially made available in Chennai city and later extended to other places.

Corporate firms, non-governmental organisations, cellular operators, private telephone companies, banks, financial institutions and individuals could utilise the service for verification of the addresses of their subscribers/customers, a DoP release here said.

The address verification would be done within a specified timeframe, the release added.
