BJP demands govt to provide suitable compensation for land loosers

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (UNI) Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh unit today demanded the state government to provide suitable compensation for the people, who lost their lands and buildings due to proposed outer ring-road project on the city outskirts.

Former Union Minister and National Secretary Bandaru Dattatreya, State Vice-President B Balreddy, General Secretary H Lakshman and other leaders submitted charter of ten demands to state Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao.

The demands included to reduce the width of the road from the proposed 500-250 feet to reduce the loss in lands and buildings, land to land for the people who lost their lands and development of connecting roads and besides suitable compensation.

They said the farmers and middle class families in Ranga Reddy and Medak districts would lose 5,500 acres of land 6,249 plots, 260 houses, 1,500 acres of vacant land if the government go ahead with its plan of constructing the ring-road with 500 feet width.
