Govt to issue GO on temple lands

Visakhapatnam, Sep 19: The Andhra Pradesh government will issue a Fresh Government Order (GO) to seek special permission from the High Court to solve the dispute over the temple lands, Endowments and Panchayatraj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy has said.

Talking to mediapersons here after offering prayers to lord Varaha Lakshminarasimha at Simhachalam near here last night, he said the procedural formalities to issue the new GO had been completed.

The government would issue the fresh GO for regularisation of the lands only after obtaining the court permission, he said adding that apart from giving compensation to the people residing in the Simhachalam hills according to market value, they would also be rehabilitated.
