46 cases filed against multiplexes,cinema halls

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) The Controller of Weight and Measures has filed 46 cases against food stalls in multiplexes and cinema halls in different parts of the state for selling goods at rates more than their MRP.

Controller of Weight and Measures, Ankush Dhanvijay said Liberty, Eros, Maratha Mandir, Hussain Enterprises, Suvarna Film Enterprises, Cinemax Sion, Star City Matunga, Suncity Vile Parle, Movie Time Bandra, Cinemax Goregaon, Kalpana Talkies Kurla, Crossword Imax Wadala are the theatres in Mumbai, that have been booked.

Similarly, cases has been filed against food stalls in theatres in Thane, Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik and Nagpur, he added.

Mr Dhanvijay has urged consumers to report to the Controller of Weight and Measures if they come across food being sold at a higher price than the MRP rate.
