Bengal IT Minister visits BHEL B'lore facility

Bangalore, Sept 18: West Bengal Information Technology Minister Dr Debesh Das today visited the Electronics Division of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) here.

In a release here, BHEL said its Executive Director V Vishwanathan received the Minister and took him around the Bangalore facility. He also explained about the company's strength in Control and Instrumentation, Solar Power Systems and IT sectors.

The Minister evinced keen interest in the world class facilities for manufacture and testing of advanced automation systems for power plants and industries, solar cells and panels and capabilities established in IT at the plant.

BHEL had established a long term association with West Bengal, where it had executed a number of power projects, besides Solar Power Plants in Sunderbans and Sagar Islands, ensuring uninterrupted environment-friendly power to the people of the region.
