2 major tragedies averted in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 18: Security forces today averted two major tragedies in south Kashmir when they defused two powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), official sources said.

They said militants had planted two IEDs at two different place at Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district this morning.

However, a patrol party detected a mine at 0915 hours while another was detected at 0945 hours.

Both the IEDs were defused by Bomb Disposal Squad without causing any damaged.
