Two dacoits nabbed in encounter

Bhind, MP, Sep 18: Two dacoits were nabbed during a police encounter in Bijpura ravines of this district and two countrymade guns and some cartridges were seized from them, police said today.

On a tip-off that some dacoits were hiding in Bijpura ravines, police cordoned off the area.

After seeing police, dacoits opened fire forcing police to retaliate.

Narendra, who carried a reward of Rs 3,000 on his head, and Devandra, who carried a reward of Rs 4,000 on his head, were arrested.

About 5-6 dacoits managed to escape.

The dacoits belonged to Anup Gurjar gang and had abducted Arvind Baghel (15) from Rawatpura Khurd on December 10, 2005.
