Six killed in clash
Gumla, Sep 18 (UNI) Six people were killed in a clash between angry villagers and criminals at Kudkuda village in the district today.
The clash occurred when the criminals opened fire indiscriminately from a house in which they were locked.
However, police put the toll at four, saying further details were awaited.
Two armed criminals came to the village market and started terrorising people which provoked the villagers to lock them up inside a house.
About hundreds of villagers caught the duo and tried to set the house afire.
The criminals sensing that they would be burnt alive opened indiscriminate fire, killing four people on the spot and injuiring seven.
Unconfirmed reports said the duo were still inside the house that was set ablaze.
Angry mob was not allowing police to approach the spot, sources said.
