Sensex down 18 pts in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, Sep 18: The BSE Sensex was 70 points up in the afternoon trade, on the back of firm to steady Asian markets which were trading up from 0.8 to 2.0 per cent.
Currently the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) is trading at 12,075.22 points compared to the previous close of 12,009 points.
Crude oil prices moved slightly up today, resulting in decline of major auto and oil&gas scrips. Tata Motors is trading down by 0.82 per cent, Maruti Udyog is down by 0.18 per cent, and Reliance Industries is down by 0.20 per cent.
Besides, the gainers are - Reliance Communications up by 2.08 per cent, HLL up by 2.09 per cent and Cipla up by 2.08 per cent.
