Rs 6 lakh in inspector's attache
Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) A local court today granted further time -- for making a statement -- to an accused inspector from whose attache Rs 6 lakh were seized while she was posted at a checkpost of the Madhya Pradesh Transport Department.
According to prosecution, the case against Inspector Shahida Sultan is pending since May, 1998. Sessions Judge S K Raghuvanshi fixed October 6 as the next date for hearing. Special Public Prosecutor P K Srivastava and Defence Counsel M K Baga were present.
Inspector Sultan was posted at Shahpur checkpost in Burhanpur district. The area was part of Khandwa district at that time. The Special Police Establishment (Lokayukta) personnel seized the money at Bhopal Station.
