Rajya Sabha MPs hold discussions with UT officials

Pondicherry, Sep 18 (UNI) A four-member committee of MPs Local Area Development Scheme, currently on a three-day visit to the Union Territory today held discussions with the senior officials of the administration.

Pondicherry Chief Secretary Pradeep Mehra and Rehabilitation Commissioner B V Selvaraj gave a detailed presentation to the team and explained the various rehabilitation measures taken by the Pondicherry administration in the tsunami-hit areas.

The team comprising Upper House members Rehman Khan, M V Mysora Reddy, Rajnithi Prasad and C Perumal later left for Karaikal region of the Union Territory.

The team had visited several buildings constructed by utilising the MPs Area Development fund here.
