Not withdrawn ILD license, says MTNL

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) State-owned telecom major Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today said it has not withdrawn their application for international long distance (ILD) license.

Instead, Millennium Telecom Limited (MTL), a joint venture of MTNL and BSNL, who are working on the project of submarine cable, and who had applied for ILD license earlier, have withdrawn their application of ILD license.

Earlier, MTNL Chairman and Managing Director RSP Sinha reportedly said that it has withdrawn its application for an ILD license.

BSNL and MTNL had tied up to lay an undersea cable line to connect South East Asia and West Asia.
