No conspiracy behind Lalu attack: Justice Patel report
Gandhinagar, Sept 18 (UNI) The state government today tabled in the assembly, the report of Justice M B Patel Commission, formed to probe the alleged attack on Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on April 21 last year, which found no conspiracy behind the attack.
Justice Patel report, says that security around Mr Prasad was tight and he had ten armed escort vehicles and it was not possible to inflict any harm on him. To a question whether the attack was a conspiracy or whether there was any premediation, the panel contended that nothing could be proved.
The Justice M B Patel commission report was tabled by Home Minister Amit Shah in the House.
On April 21 last year the Railway Minister had gone to Samalaya following an accident at the railway station. Later during his visit to SSG Hospital to meet the injured passengers, some 250 people had gathered at the hospital premises and raised anti-Lalu slogans.
Water pouches were also thrown at him and one pouch burst near him.
Some stones were also hurled and the police had to resort to mild lathicharge.
