Nitish orders probe into delay in arrest of Sunil Pandey
Patna, Sep 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed anguish at the ''lackadaisical'' attitude of the police in arresting suspended JD(U) MLA Narendra Kumar Pandey alias Sunil Pandey and ordered a high level probe into it.
Mr Kumar told newspersons that is was a serious offence that the police did not arrest Mr Pandey and only completed the formalities of pasting proclamation notice on the walls of the MLA's house.
''Such situation cannot be tolerated,'' he said and directed IG Anil Sinha to probe the matter. He also asked Mr Sinha to initiate suitable action against the guilty.
Mr Kumar said every one was equal before law and there would be no discrimination in enforcing the rule of law and asked Mr Pandey to surrender before the court.
