Naik lists BJP's achievements in North Mumbai

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) Former Union Petroleum Minister Ram Naik yesterday presented a report on the achievements made by his party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, in North Mumbai during the last year.

The report says that the party had colleted Rs 31 lakh as donation from 35,000 families in North Mumbai to extend relief to last year's flood-affected people.

The party enrolled 19,000 new members last year from the four assembly constituencies in North Mumbai, says the report.

While releasing the report to the media, Mr Naik rued that the Centre had not provided any funds to the rehabilitation centre for the handicapped near Virar. He also rued the lack of rail transport facilities at Panju, an island near Naigaon station.

Former Union Minister Jayantiben Mehta and former Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde were also present on the occasion.
