Justice prevailed : Ramachandran

Kochi, Sep 18 (UNI) Expressing happiness over the Kerala High Court order to quash the proceedings launched by the State Lok Ayukta against him, former health minister K K Ramachandran Master today said justice has prevailed.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Ramachandran said, ''the allegations were part of a conspiracy theory hatched by people with vested interest to tarnish my political image.'' ''When the right time comes, I will dislose their names,'' he added.

However, Mr Ramachandran admitted that the allegations had created doubt in the minds of the people and, to a certain extent had an adverse effect on his fortunes in the last Assembly elections.

The Kerala High Court on September 15 quashed the proceedings by the State Lok Ayukta against Mr Ramachandran and held that the Lok Ayukta had no power to conduct investigation suo motu or to initiate proceedings on anonymous or pseudonymous letters.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice M Ramachandran also quashed the complaint against the former health minister's private secretary P Radhakrishnan, initiated suo motu by the Lok Ayukta based on a letter complaint.

The proceedings initiated against Industries Director T O Sooraj, Women's Development Corporation Managing Director N Sadasivan and Warehousing Corporation Managing Director G Mohandas were also set aside in the same judgement.
