Indian women disappoint at IAAF world cup
Athens, Sep 18 (UNI) Indian women's relay team failed to repeat their brilliant performance in the 10th IAAF World Cup Athletics when they finished at 9th while representing Asia in the 4X400M relay clocking 3:38.85s.
Japanese runner Asami Tanno started the race and then Chitra Soman took over in the second exchange and handed the baton to Satti Geetha on the 8th place but Geetha faded away in the final exchange and Manjit Kaur could not recover the position and finished 9th.
Americas team won the race with world leading mark of 3:19.84s while the USA team finished second place with 3:20.69s.
The Russian team finished third with 3:21.21.
