India wants to see peace in Nepal: Manmohan Singh
Kathmandu, Sep 18 (UNI) Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said India wanted to see peace in Nepal, the Foreign Ministry disclosed here today.
''India wanted to see peace prevail in Nepal as it would be in the interest of both the countries,'' state-run The Rising Nepal quoted Dr Singh as saying during the meeting with Foreign Minister of Nepal K P Oli in Havana, Cuba.
''The Indian Prime Minister enquired about the ongoing peace process in Nepal and the progress in the talks with the Maoists'' it said.
Matters of bilateral interest and concern also figured in the meeting, the Foreign Ministry said.
Mr Oli led the Nepalese delegation to the 14th NAM summit held in Cuba.
