Heavy rains continue in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 18 (UNI) Heavy rains continued to lash Kerala and Lakshwadeep with the South West monsoon active over the State and the Union Territory.

The Local Met office here said the highest rainfall of four cm was recorded at Kozha and Mananthawadi.

Perinthalmanna, Karipur Air Port, Mannarkad, Kollengode, Punalur, Varkala and Munnar received three cm of rainfall.

Isolated heavy rains were likely over Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 hours, the office added.
