First day's play washed out

Hyderabad, Sept 18 (UNI) The first day's play in the three-day final of All India Moin-Ud-Dowla Gold Cup cricket tournament between Hyderabad and Chemplast at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium here was washed out due to heavy rain.

In case both the teams are unable to complete their first innings in the remaining two days, the match would be extended by a day.

The winner would be decided by spin of the coin with the team calling rightly emerging the victor, if the first innings is not completed even on the reserve day, the umpires said.
