FIIs can buy equities under PIS for select companies: RBI

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India today notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) can now make purchases under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS), equity shares and convertible debentures of Igarashi Motors India upto 40 per cent, Emco upto 40 per cent, Gammon India upto 49 per cent, PTC India upto 49 per cent, and GTL Infrastructure upto 74 per cent, through primary markets and stock exchanges in India, upto the limits of their paid up capital shown against their names.

The above mentioned companies have passed resolutions to this effect at their Board of Directors' and general body meetings.
