FACT Software of Singapore join hands with St Xaviers college

Kolkata, Sep 18 (UNI) FACT Software International Pvt Ltd of Singapore, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vedika Software Private Limited, today announced a strategic tie-up with St Xaviers College here for introducing FACT realtime accounting software as part of its B.Com. curiculum as well as its inclusion in specialised courses like Financial Management and Decision making.

The alliance would open up an opportunity before St Xaviers students to FACT's main stream marketing projects. As part of the unique initiative FACT shall recruit St Xaviers students as interns and shall entrust specific marketing projects to them, including conceptualisation and execution of innovative and aggressive marketing campaigs.

Speaking to newsmen after signing a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) to this effect, FACT Chief executive Officer Arvind Agarwala and Senior Principal St Xaviers College Father P.C.Mathew said FACT software International had recently launched a similar initiative with the prestigious Singapore Management University (SMU) and recruited 19 interns from SMU to its six projects in Singapore.

This initiative is a precursor to the largest recruitment drive by FACT Singapore and attracting a lot of attention amongst the academia and industry alike, Mr Agarwala claimed.

Highlighting the basic features of the tie-up, Father Mathew said it would add great value to the students' career and make them better prepared for the corporate world.

This is a unique example of the industry-academia partnership, he said adding the partnership would help the students gain invaluable practical business experience and the company shall be able to hire a steady source of dynamic and bright young people bubbling with new ideas.
