CSE to sign MOU with NSE for common trading platform
Kolkata, Sept 18 (UNI) The Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) would shortly enter into a deal with National Stock Exchange (NSE) for offering a common trading platform for its members.
"We are in advanced stage of talks with NSE for the common trading platform and an MOU will be signed shortly," CSE administrator T.K. Das told reporters.
CSE members would be able to trade in NSE-listed stocks under the agreement, he said.
The bourse is also talking to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for a similar common trading platform for its members.
Earlier, the members of the ailing bourse passed the proposal to demutualise the exchange paving the way for revival of the regional exchange.
Tie ups with larger exchanges like NSE and BSE and introduction of newer product offerings were believed to be the only option to revive the exchange.
The annual general meeting of the bourse was held today. Like for the last five years, the members did not pass the annual accounts for 2005-06.
