Cerebral Malaria toll reaches 80

Mainpuri, Sep 18 (UNI) The deadly Cerebral Malaria continues to take lives as the toll mounted to 80 with the death of five children here during the last 24 hrs.

According to sources, the deceased were identified as Laxman Singh, Rinki, Somwati, Babli and Soni -- all residents of Kishni Block.

After Bhogaon tehsil, Mainpuri is gradually becoming the centre of the dealy desease.

So far, as-many-as 30 people in Madhan and Nasirpur villages got seriouly ill after getting infected with the fatal disease, the sources said.
