36 arrested, property worth Rs three lakh seized in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Sep 18 (UNI) The City police here raided a gambling den and arrested 36 people along with property worth Rs three lakh.

On a tip-off of a gambling business at 'Surabhi Sports and Cultural Club' located near Uma Theatre area, a police team, led by city Deputy Superintendent of Police Shahahi Umap, raided the gambling den last night, police sources said today.

The seized property include Rs.57,000 cash, three colour TV sets, eight mobile handsets, furniture, three air-conditioning machines, a generator, electric fans and other goods, police added.
