10 Women arrested for looting goods train at Kosad

Surat, Sep 18 (UNI) A team of Railway Protection Force personnel arrested 14 villagers, including 10 women, from Kosad for looting 1,320 kg of foodgrains from a goods train bound for Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, sources said.

The incident occurred yesterday, when the goods train was waiting for the signal near Kosad railway station.

A group of 10 women and four men opened one bogie and tried to unload gunny bags containing grains. A passer-by saw this and raised the alarm, the sources said.
