World Kannada Convention to be held in Bahrain

Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) A two-day World Kannada Cultural Convention will be held in Bahrain from December 15 as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the state's formation.

President of the Convention K P Manjunath told reporters here yesterday that more than 5000 Kannadigas from the Middle East countries were likely to take part in the meet for the promotion of Kannada and its culture.

The convention is being organised by the Bahrain-based Kannada Sangh and Hridayavahini monthly magazine.
