Two Oppn MLAs meet Prof Sabharwal's family

Ujjain, MP, Sep 16 (UNI) Two legislators -- Dr Sunilam (SP) and Mr Ramlakhan Sharma of the CPI(M) -- reached here today to look into the circumstances related to Prof Sabharwal's death.

Legislators of all opposition parties in Madhya Pradesh were supposed to reach here today but only two of them turned up.

Prof Sabharwal had died in student violence on August 26.

Both legislators visited Prof Sabharwal's family and assured them that the matter would be raised in the Vidhan Sabha.

Stating that they had no faith in the CID inquiry, the MLA duo said they demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.

Dr Sunilam alleged that the BJP was shielding the accused and expressed surprise over college professors not coming forward openly in the matter.

Both MLAs also met college principal L M Verma and sole eyewitness college chowkidar Komal Singh.
