Ten arrested for allegedly helping ultras
Latehar, Sep 17 (UNI) Police today arrested ten people, including five minor girls, for allegedly helping Maoists in a forest under Manika police station area in in this district of Jharkhand.
Police said they were activists of the cultural wing of the proscribed naxal outfit CPI (Maoist) and arrested under 'Operation Mars' launched by the district police.
The ultras belong to Gaya and Aurangabad districts of Bihar and Chatra and Palamu districts of Jharkhand.
Sources said the minors would be sent to a remand home in Ranchi and others to the local jail after being produced in the court tomorrow.
Police has recovered Naxal 'literatures' from them.
In another incident, police yesterday nabbed Prakash Yadav, who was on his way to Bendi with his two associates. Both his associates managed to escape from police.
Prakash was involved in a blast near Bendi railway bridge under Latehar police station area in which two policemen were killed.
